International Trends and Services
The ITS Facet provides services and delivers transformational programs to people of African descent globally. Programs are designed and developed to service the educational, health, and cultural needs of our global community.
Passport Series
Umbrella Programming
1.
In partnership with the Services to Youth Facet, information on countries whose majority population constitutes people of African descent will be creatively provided to high school students through a series of presentations/events/activities
2.
Students must demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of information to have “traveled” to said countries and have their “passports” stamped. Information will education, healthcare, government, agricultural, etc. Thus, educating and bringing global awareness to US students.
We Care Network
1.
In partnership with the Health and Human Services Facet we will support the We Care Network (WCN) in its goal to mobilize resources to deliver health and educational programs and services to the people of Nigeria.
2.
WCN is a nonpolitical, nonreligious, and nonprofit organization founded by Akokwa indigenes residing in the US.
3.
Through community education of WCN and its purpose, monetary and medical supply donations will be sought from local residents, groups, and health organizations.
4.
Students will also be engaged to assist in supporting WCN’s mission to create and facilitate opportunities for everyone to learn and live healthier lives.
